Established in 1936, over the years there is very little our mechanics haven’t perfected. From basic tuning of basic bikes to high end custom builds, we have decades of experience and real world know-how.
We are also certified Bosch eBike motor technicians.

Cycle Servicing
At Hargreave Cycles we offer a range of service options to keep your bike going. All our service packages are individually priced and include VAT. Turnaround times are normally 24-48 hours for pre-booked bikes.

eBike Servicing : Bosch Certified
Electric bikes, or eBikes as they’re often called, are a relatively new technology which many workshops simply can’t or won’t service and repair.
Our mechanics are Bosch certified and can carry out specific eBike Servicing, including full diagnostics and software updates.
All of our workshops are equipped with all the latest diagnostic systems and have access to the full spares catalogue to support and service your Bosch eBike.
Gear Tune £50.00
- Check chain for wear
- Check derailleurs for alignment
- Check cable for wear
- Adjust shifters
- Index gears
- Report further requirements
New bike and the gears have gotten all “clicky”? Gears not working 100% but cables appear OK? You most likely just need a gear tune. Normally done while you, no need to book.
Brake Tune £50.00
- Check pads for wear
- Check calipers for alignment
- Check cable for wear
- Adjust levers
- Adjust as required
- Report further requirements
Brakes can make the difference between life and death. Don’t leave it to chance, make sure your brakes are working as best they can with our brake tune up.
- Includes all tasks from gear tune

- Frame & fork inspection
- Torque all bolts and fixings
- Inflate tyres to correct PSI
- Report on further work required
Our basic service ensures your bike is good to go on a day to day basis. We inspect, adjust and suggest replacement accordingly.
Full Service From £100.00
- Clean & degrease bike
- Includes all tasks from gear tune
- Includes all tasks from brake tune
- Adjust & grease headset bearings
- Adjust & grease wheel bearings
- Frame & fork inspection
- Torque all bolts and fixings
- Inflate tyres to correct PSI
- Report on further work required
We recommend a full service at least once a year for occasional use and at least twice for regular users.
